Through a dream of unusual flat-topped mountains and small cone shaped shelters hidden among many green trees, the Venerable Zasep Tulku Rinpoche first became aware of a place called Thunder Bay. Rinpoche came here in 1982 at the request of his Canadian students and friends. As a result, many people began meditating together weekly.
Potala Meditation Centre is a not-for-profit registered charity. We meet in Thunder Bay, located on the rugged shores of Lake Superior, surrounded by boreal forests growing from the ancient glacier swept rock. Our Centre is devoted to the practice and teaching of Tibetan Buddhism.
We would be happy to hear from you and answer any questions you might have about Potala or about Tibetan Buddhist practice.
