In-person Meditation
September 4 to Oct 30, 2024, we will be holding in-person Buddhist meditation sessions each Wednesday, 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. at the Bodymind Centre. We will be upstairs in the Sleeping Giant Studio. Whether you are new to meditation or an experienced practitioner, you are welcome to join us. The Bodymind Centre is located at 105 Villa St., Suite 8 in Thunder Bay.
It will be an hour that includes mantras, mindfulness meditation, walking meditation and reading from a chosen text followed by discussion.
We will be happy to answer any questions related to Buddhism and meditation. There is also a small library of Buddhist books available for anyone wishing to explore further.
Please wear clothes that are comfortable and loose. We will have meditation cushions and chairs available. Of course you may bring your own cushion if you prefer.
While there is no charge for these gatherings we do appreciate small donations ($2-$5) when attending, or occasional donations can be offered by e-transfer to Potala@Potala.ca
Of course this is all optional and no one will be turned away because of their financial situation. Donations help us in bringing our Buddhist teacher, Zasep Tulku Rinpoche, to Thunder Bay so he may give further teachings in person.
No registration required
We are grateful to the Bodymind Centre for allowing us this space and time to practice meditation.
